Some Questions
I am new to the online gaming industy, I used to be content with just playing my buddies, but I have recently purchased an xbox360 and I just now diving into its abilities. I have been playing NHL 07 for only about a week and have played some online games and appear to be ok. I was wondering, what is the talent level here? How exactly do we play each other, do I list all my opponents has friends and then when they are online challenge them? How long will the first 15 games take? What difficulty levels do we play on and settings? Can we trade players amougst each other? Are we going to download updated rosters and play with those whenever EA does that? After someones response I may like the blue jackets. I will check this site daily for a week for a response as to not delay the start of the league. Sorry to be a newbie.

I'm not staff here by any stretch of the imagination, so take my response at face value. Basically, we're all gonna play each other at least once during the season. The order we play our opponents doesn't matter, and games can take place anytime after the schedule goes up. I think we're just supposed to contact each other on the boards or through e-mail, then send a friend request or game invite at the designated time. As for how long it'll take, anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months, I'd guess. Depends how long everyone takes to get through their season. And, as far as the talent level goes, I can't speak for everyone here, but I'm not too bad of a player. I mean, I'm nowhere near the best, and have really good games and really bad games like everyone else, but I do my best to put out a good challenge. And, if I do play someone below my level, I really try not to rape them, so any newbie playing me won't have to worry about a 15-0 loss or whatever. I'm just here to have fun, win or lose, and hope I get to play against a few others with the same philosophy.

thank you for the info it was helpful, I guess I will go ahead and take the blue jackets and hope all is well, also I am worried about a 32 man league and the inevitable people who just lose interest.

I think Lord pretty much covered your questions, thank you Lord, appreciate it. As far as people losing interest, it's hard to control that. I will keep a close eye on people's attendence. I will create a waiting list and hopefully that will have a couple people on it at all times

Just to actually re-ask a couple questions Chazz brought up: What settings do we play on, and do we use default rosters or updated? I'm guessing trades aren't allowed, but I'm not sure about the other two questions. Thanks.

The settings will be the same as a ranked game. So, basically we will just play ranked games. That way I can check the recent games if any conflicts arise. If the updated rosters come out we will use those. I think everyone would want that
