Xbox.com and Live Down
Are they still down for their scheduled maintence? Also makes my gamertag not show

theyre unfortunately down all day till tomorrow morning but they are sopposedly adding great my profile feautres of something its gonna be a waste of my time lol theyre gonna add some dinky lil shit no one cares about

I read that xbl might not be down for the full 24 hours, and may be back up tonight. Hopefully its done soon.

I'm willing to bet the downtime is nothing more than some servers being changed over to other games, like the rumored server switch from COD2 to COD3, etcetera, making old games obsolete while recycling servers that couldn't handle the load of first-gen 360. At best, it'll probably be an update to the Marketplace in order to compete with the PS3's online store design.

they should have at least informed us perhaps more then they did, last night they said they werr just going to be closed that normal hour, did they ever come back on after that?

Nope. They said an hour, then changed it to a day. Who knows, maybe tomorrow it'll be a week.

Apparently, it's only down for routine maintenance, meaning we're not getting anything for the trouble of not having Live for a day. Whoopie. Microsoft seems to be the only company in the world that views a full day as nothing more than an hour.

M$ just took our money.

So far, we've got parental controls out of the deal. Wow. Exactly what I was hoping for. Looks like xbox.com is still down for another day so they can add the 'real' features to the site instead of the 360. Again, just what I wanted. Leave Live down for a day and a half, then give us nothing in return after promising 'exciting new features'. They could've just said what they were doing in the first place, and not made people think something more than a third of Lumines would be available for 1200 Points after all is said and done.
